Help Spread the Warmth this Holiday Season

Blog

Did you know? 1 in 5 children live in households whose earnings fall below the poverty level in the U.S. For many of these families living in poverty, a warm winter coat is considered an “extra.” An estimated 671,850 Americans experience homelessness on any given night. Health experts report that even a 2-degree drop in body temperature results in reduced heart rate, loss of coordination, and confusion. Adults cannot work effectively and children find it difficult to learn*. For most, a warm coat solves the problem. Join Hondros College as we help to make a small impact this Holiday season by collecting new and gently used coats at each Hondros location!

We are accepting donations for the coat drive through Thursday, December 19th at every Hondros College campus from 7:30am-5pm Monday-Friday. Don’t have a coat to give? You can also text “WARM” to 80100 to donate $10.00 or “COLD” to donate $5.00. All monetary proceeds will be sent to the One Warm Coat non-profit organization. All coats will be distributed in the local community in which they were donated.

Please join us to help spread the warmth this Holiday season!
