End of Year Recap: Hondros Family of Companies Highlights Employees at 2013 Company Meeting and Holiday Event

The Hondros Family of Companies held their annual company meeting and holiday event on Friday, December 20, 2013. Employees from all six locations gathered in Westerville to celebrate the holiday season, and to share in the spirit of camaraderie of what it means to be a part of the family of companies.
Hondros College and Hondros Learning shared in team building activities, as well as a competitive trivia game hosted by John and Linda Hondros.
Every year, Hondros College and Hondros Learning take the time to reflect on all the contributions that the employees have made throughout the year to support the success of the Hondros Family of Companies. Awards are given out to those employees who exemplify excellence in the workplace, leadership, customer service, and teaching. This year’s 2013 Annual Company Meeting Award winners are as follows:
1. Hondros Learning Award: Cynthia Parker, Instructional Designer, Hondros Learning
The Hondros Learning Award is an award to be presented to an individual who has demonstrated outstanding leadership and guidance in the Hondros Learning line of business over the past year. This person should lead by example, provide a positive outlook, be insightful, and provide direction/service to others.
2. Hondros College of Business Award: Betsy Butler, Business Development Manager, Hondros College
Hondros College of Business Award is an award to be presented to an individual who has demonstrated outstanding leadership and guidance in Hondros College over the past year. This person should lead by example, provide a positive outlook, be insightful, and provide direction/service to others.
3. Excellence in Customer Service Award(s): Cameron Fracasso, Senior Accountant, Hondros College and Emily Timblin, Registrar, Hondros College
Excellence in Customer Service Award is an award to be presented to an individual who consistently goes above and beyond for our internal or external customers and/or students to provide the best customer service possible. In doing so, this person uses creativity, great judgment, and simple hard work to find/execute solutions that will create a sense of value to the organization.
4. Hondros College Faculty Instructor of the Year Award: Al Rosser, Real Estate Instructor
Hondros College Faculty Instructor of the Year is to be presented to the instructor who consistently has excellent ratings, excellent interactions with students and corporate staff, and strives to be a positive ambassador of Hondros College whenever possible. This person is an overall asset to the college and a joy to work with!
5. Site of the Year Award: Cleveland South
Site of the Year is an award to be presented to the staff of the campus that had excellent student ratings and excellent customer service to students and/or customers.
6. Shining Star Instructors: Della Lambert, Real Estate Instructor, Al Batteiger, Real Estate Instructor, Al Rosser, Real Estate Instructor
7. George Hondros Award: Stephanie Webb , Director of Marketing, Hondros College
This award recognizes an individual who helps our business(es) prosper, both through great individual execution and by quietly supporting and supplementing excellent work being driven by fellow associates. Often working behind the scenes, not seeking the spotlight, this is someone who makes a significant impact every day. Additionally, this is someone who is a good listener, someone who “first seeks to understand, before seeking to be understood,” someone who strives for solutions that the whole team can be happy with, someone who builds cohesiveness across our broad, diverse group of associates, and someone who people rely on and trust consistently, over time. Finally, this award recognizes someone who truly demonstrates a kind, caring, and generous spirit, both inside our business and outside in the community at large.
8. Margaret Hondros Award: Allison Jenkins, Product Marketing Manager, Hondros Learning
This award is given to a very special person who helps our business (either Hondros College and/or Hondros Learning) achieve great results – both through individual accomplishment and through the visible leadership that he or she provides. This person recognizes the abilities of others and then teaches and inspires his/her fellow associates. Through positively and powerful communication skills, this individual attracts more loyal supporters to the business. This award winner’s visible leadership, obvious talents, and ability to add value extend well beyond our business. These qualities, as embodied by this person, are respected and valued by the broad communities we serve and live in, as well!
9. James Dwyer Memorial Scholarship: Brandy Brady of Akron, Ohio
Named in honor of long-time faculty member James Dwyer, this scholarship is intended to be given to an individual who shares in Mr. Dwyer’s passion for the pursuit of excellence in the field of real estate and consequently, a full-time career in the real estate industry.
