Hondros Family of Companies Gives Back to Local YWCA Family Center

Blog

On Thursday, July 3, seven ladies from the Hondros Family of Companies volunteered their time by serving lunch at the local YWCA Family Center in Columbus. The Food for Thought Café prepared two different types of macaroni and cheese, applesauce, salad, and delicious chocolate brownies for the families and staff at the YWCA.

Our volunteers received a tour of the YWCA facility before serving lunch to the men, women and children currently residing at the center. It was a humbling experience to give back to those in need in the community. The YWCA Family Center provides emergency shelter and critical services to stabilize homeless families in central Ohio.

“It is so nice to work for a company that promotes giving back,” says Stephanie Johnson, Graphic Designer and Developer for Hondros Family of Companies. “The YWCA does a lot of good for our community and I am so glad that I could volunteer my time. You could definitely see that the people we served were extremely grateful that we were there. I can’t wait to go back and help more!”

Hondros Family of Companies is dedicated to the community in which they serve and will always participate in community outreach. Hondros Family of Companies has committed to serving lunch at the YWCA several times per year.
