The order you do it in
Four steps, start to licensed.
- 1 Complete your 100 hours Classroom, Livestream, self-paced online — or any mix.
- 2 Choose a sponsoring broker Ohio will not issue a licence without one.
- 3 Submit your application To the Ohio Division of Real Estate, with fingerprinting and background check.
- 4 Pass the state exam Scheduled through PSI Exams.

Once you’ve purchased classes with us, you have six months to complete them. Hondros offers multiple ways to take your courses, including self-paced online courses (taken at your own speed), in-person classes, or Livestream classrooms (held in real time from any device).
Our online learning format is “self-paced,” meaning you can take courses on your own time, at your own pace. Livestream learning is instructor-led in real time via Zoom.
Yes! Both online and Livestream learning feature our expert-developed course material that you can take from the comfort of your own home.
With our self-paced online learning format, you’ll go at your own speed through the courses. You’re not on a set schedule, so you can choose to take the courses anytime and anywhere with an internet connection. Our online course format features written material with recorded video of our experienced instructors mixed in to keep you engaged.
Our Livestream courses are most similar to the classroom learning experience, as they are taught by an instructor via Zoom in real time. It’s a great option for students who benefit from an interactive instructor experience. With Livestream learning, you’ll attend class virtually with other students at scheduled times, just like you would in the classroom.
When deciding between online courses, in-person classes, or Livestream courses, it’s important to consider your learning style and personal schedule. If you require the flexibility to learn when and where you want, our self-paced online courses are for you. If you find that you learn better from an instructor — and you have time to attend regularly scheduled classes or Zoom sessions — in-person or Livestream learning is for you.
