Columbus, OHIO (May 18, 2017) – Hondros Family of Companies has been awarded a 2017 Top Workplaces honor by the Columbus C.E.O. Magazine. The Top Workplaces lists are based solely on the results of an employee feedback survey administered by WorkplaceDynamics, LLC, a leading research firm that specializes in organizational health and workplace improvement.
Several aspects of workplace culture were measured, including alignment, execution and connection. According to the survey, 86% of employees feel that “Hondros Family of Companies motivates me to give my very best at work.” Associates also feel positively that the company does things efficiently and well, and that it is headed in the right direction.
“When you work at Hondros Family of Companies, you become part of a family,” says Whitney Davis, site director. “So many of our employees have a lengthy tenure because of Hondros’ dedication to professional development. Hondros has given me a pathway to success that has allowed me to advance my career. I am so thankful to come to work where I feel valued and supported.”
The Hondros Family of Companies is proud to foster an entrepreneurial culture, incorporating a team-based approach to business and problem solving. The organization approaches its work with an emphasis on giving back to the community.
“We are dedicated to offering a professional environment that enhances career opportunities and offers employees a sense of purpose,” said Linda Hondros, CEO, Hondros Family of Companies. “Ultimately, when it comes down to it, the Top Workplaces honor is recognition of the outstanding work our associates do. We encourage and appreciate the contributions they make.”
Associate satisfaction will continue to rise as the Hondros Family of Companies plans to utilize the survey results to target programs and make improvements that matter most to the associates in areas of communication and engagement.
“The Top Workplaces award is not a popularity contest. And oftentimes, people assume it’s all about fancy perks and benefits.” says Doug Claffey, CEO of WorkplaceDynamics. “But to be a Top Workplace, organizations must meet our strict standards for organizational health. And who better to ask about work life than the people who live the culture every day—the employees. Time and time again, our research has proven that what’s most important to them is a strong belief in where the organization is headed, how it’s going to get there, and the feeling that everyone is in it together.” Claffey adds, “Without this sense of connection, an organization doesn’t have a shot at being named a Top Workplace.”
