Free Tech Tools That will Help You in Your Real Estate Business

As real estate agents and small business owners, our to-do lists can seem a mile long. Generating leads, showing homes, listing homes, keeping in touch with clients, tracking expenses, marketing, networking; the lists goes on and on.

That’s why I love anything I can do to help me stand out as a real estate agent and (bonus!) create efficiency in the process. Here are a few of my favorite free tech tools to help you do just that.

Adobe Spark Post

Adobe Spark Post is a free app that lets you quickly create stunning social graphics using design filters. This is such a great tool with so many uses for real estate agents. Use to promote open houses, client testimonials or new listings. You can use your own text and graphic or choose from a library of professionally designed templates. Play with different fonts, themes, and animations.

Each graphic can be automatically resized to fit Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, or Blog posts with the click of a button. Once you have created your graphic there are also share tools where you can send directly to social media or save for later use.

The app is currently available for iPhones as well as a web based app.

Hootsuite

While they offer more robust paid plans, Hootsuite offers a great free basic account. Hootsuite’s site says it is targeted to “Individuals that want to try Hootsuite to get more out of social media. Included: 3 Social Profiles, message scheduling, basic analytics.”

Since social media is such a huge opportunity for real estate agents, this is a great tool to schedule and track your content you are posting. I find it helps me stay organized and better aware of what message I am posting where.

Set up is a breeze as Hootsuite walks you through selecting which social networks you would like to connect. Choose from Twitter, Facebook, Google+, LinkedIn, WordPress, Instagram and YouTube.

Canva

Canva is like having your own personal graphic designer – for free!  This tool is loaded with tons of design templates for flyers, business cards, social media, listing presentations and more.

Because of the popularity of this tool among real estate agents, there is also a real estate specific section where there are tons of professionally designed templates ready for you to customize with your listing photos, property descriptions and brand.
