Open House Sheds Light on Employment Opportunities in the Insurance Industry
April 27, 2016 |
Hondros College of Business recently held its Insurance Focused Open House at the Westerville, Ohio campus. This Open House catered to the insurance industry where job seekers learned of the promising career options and security an insurance career has to offer. Attendees also learned about the real estate, mortgage, appraisal and home inspection industries, along with the Associate’s Degree program.
Panelists included Marc Stout, Mortgage Loan Officer from US Savings Bank, and Carol Conway, President Elect for Ohio Association of Health Underwriters.
Insurance employers were thrilled to talk with job seekers who attended the Open House. Nationwide, AllState, Farmers Insurance were among the group of hiring companies that set up shop at the event to chat with attendees interested in the insurance industry.
Brent Maurer, Vice President of Paul Werth Associates, was the night’s guest speaker. Maurer spoke on the insurance industry and the Insuring Ohio Futures initiative. The forecast for insurance careers is pretty bright considering that there are 26,000 jobs to fill by 2020.
“Ohio insurance companies expect to have more job openings by the end of the decade than people ready to fill those openings,” states the Insuring Ohio Futures website.
The message for the night was clear: start your education now! The panelist’s agreed that having an education background from Hondros College of Business places you on the top of the list of applicants when searching for career opportunities.
