Success in Real Estate: It’s Not Just About the Listings

As a newly minted real estate agent or veteran licensee, your career goals equal bringing in commissions and forging relationships with clients. But let’s not forget, you may be a parent, PTO president, sports coach, or Girl Scout leader. So let’s be honest: getting your degree couldn’t be farther from your list of things to do.
Why is that? Life has gotten in the way, college is expensive, sales are up and business is better than ever; why bother?

According to the National Association of REALTORS®, top producing real estate agents with post-graduation education have higher annual earnings than all other segments of top producing agents.
Even the smallest amount of knowledge can elevate your career to new heights. REALTORS® with an Associate’s Degree had 6% higher earnings than those without any college.
But wait, doesn’t experience trump diploma in this industry? Not necessarily. An additional year of schooling produces a higher percentage increase in income (4.2%) than an additional year of experience (3.7%). So while closing deals and booming business is on your mind all day, it’s time to start dreaming of the education you need to invest in your future.
