Hondros Family of Companies Brings Together All Families for Annual Summer Picnic

The Hondros Family of Companies wouldn’t be complete without the families of our instructors, associates and staff. On Saturday, June 28, Hondros Family of Companies held its annual family summer picnic at the Hondros Family Farm in Sunbury, Ohio. Instructors and staff were encouraged to bring their loved ones and friends to celebrate the summer season and to enjoy a gathering of swimming, games, food and fun.

The Hondros Family Farm transformed into one giant playground for both the children and adults. The kids cooled down in the pond, flew across the slip n’ slide, jumped around on the trampoline, decorated and planted their very own pots and plants, crafted Sandy Candy creations and engaged in a sing-a-long with the band! The adults teased their brains with trivia with John Hondros, winning crisp cash money if they answered correctly! “I liked playing games,” said Katie Poling, Operations Coordinator at Hondros College. “Playing against ‘the boys’ and winning some money never hurt either!” Other activities included raffles, volleyball and just some good old fashioned relaxation.

With great family comes great food; and what a spread! The menu included BBQ baby back ribs, smoked turkey, burgers made from beef raised on the Hondros farm, Elk and Venison sliders, and grilled hot dogs. The staff supplemented with side dishes and treats, including a yummy dirt dessert.

The Hondros Family of Companies was created on the solid foundation of family and the support and care that each family needs in order to succeed and grow. The summer family picnic is a truly enjoyable event that brings all families together, both professional and personal, in the spirit of camaraderie.
