Do I need to get fingerprinted or have a background check to get my license?
If you hold an insurance license already and have done a fingerprint background check within a year, you do not need to get another fingerprint background check. If it has been more than a year since you’ve had a fingerprint background check for The Ohio Department of Insurance you will need to complete a new fingerprint background check. If you are unsure how long it’s been since you’ve been fingerprinted, we recommend contacting The Ohio Department of Insurance at 614-644-2658
Insurance Pre-Licensing Livestream Schedule
Hondros College offers both online and Livestream classes so you can choose the course format that works best for your schedule and learning style. Our online classes are self-paced and can be completed on your own at any time. Our Livestream classes are like a virtual classroom; you’ll attend class via Zoom with other students and learn from an instructor in real-time! Below is the schedule for our Livestream classes.
1 Week

Students currently working on, or have completed, insurance pre-licensing coursework but have not yet passed the Ohio licensing exam may be eligible to work with a temporary license.
