The Holiday season is such a magical time of year. From connecting with friends and family at Holiday dinners to remembering the reason for the season, there is a lot to celebrate.  The Holidays also are a great opportunity for you to reconnect with past clients in a natural way and build your pipeline with new contacts for the coming year.

Update your database – December typically is a slower month for home sales than other times of the year. Use this extra time to make sure your database is current and up to date!

  • Make sure all clients from the year have been added with their new address.
  • Add prospect information. Bolster your list by going through email and social media to identify potential prospects for next year that you may have missed adding to your CRM.

Connect with clients and prospects with a personalized Holiday card– While going paperless has added tremendous efficiency to our daily lives as agents; holiday cards should still be sent in the mail! Emailing Holiday cards is nice but they will get deleted almost immediately—cards sent in the mail will most likely get displayed!  You can really stand out by spending the extra time and money to get a Holiday card that is printed and mailed.  Many printing companies also offer design services as well as printing and postage solutions.

Volunteer at charitable organizations – Part of what makes good real estate agents great is caring about more than just the sale. Do you genuinely care about the community you live in? I know you do! But, how do you show it? Use the Holidays as a great reason to give back. Volunteer to serve a meal at a homeless shelter, organize a coat drive, or get connected with a local church with is sponsoring an Adopt a Child event. It’s a great idea to ask your clients to get involved too!

Get Local – As agents, we are in the business of being the expert on our community. The Holidays bring a plethora of opportunity to get out in the community, network and have fun! The opportunities are endless: purchase gifts from small businesses in your town, take part in the Holiday parade or sponsor a Holiday festival. All of these will offer opportunity to gain exposure and connect with your community.
